OUR HERITAGE
From Kingston to Your Kitchen
The story of how a Jamaican chef's signature marinade became a bottle — and a mission.
THE ORIGIN
Where It All Began
Growing up in Kingston, jerk wasn't just food — it was a gathering, a celebration, a way of life. The smoky aroma of pimento wood, the sizzle of scotch bonnet peppers, the hours of slow cooking that turned simple ingredients into something extraordinary.
Jamaica On The Grill was founded to bring that experience to Rockford, Illinois — and then to every kitchen. We opened as a restaurant first, built a loyal following, and eventually bottled the sauce that our customers refused to leave without.
THE RECIPE
Real Ingredients, No Compromises
“Real Jamaican flavor. No shortcuts.”
Every bottle starts with whole scotch bonnet peppers, hand-ground allspice, fresh thyme, and garlic. We use avocado oil instead of seed oils, and we never add artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors.
The result is a sauce that tastes like it came straight off a Jamaican jerk pit — because the recipe did. It's been in our family for generations, and now it's in your kitchen.
